How Do I Choose My Wedding Flowers? – Ask The Wedding Expert Answer

Question from Pat:

Finding the right flowers for my wedding.  My wedding colors are green and white.  Ideas for Fourth of July.  Reception is in the park.

Answer from Wedding Expert Angela:

Hi Pat and congratulations on your upcoming wedding.  We have a video on choosing wedding flowers in our free series on wedding planning.  Green and white open you up to almost any flower colours.  I would suggest greens, blues and purples.  They are a great choice.  If you want something with a WOW factor, go with red.  It is a classic choice with green, and would make a great 4th of July statement!

As for the 4th of July, fireworks immediately come to mind.  Since you are in a park, you would have to be licensed to have fireworks, so contact the Park administration.  A lot depends upon whether you are having a formal or informal wedding.  I attended a great informal wedding where volleyball, baseball, and horseshoes were available.  Of course, they had a tent with a wooden dance floor with a live band, so it really covered all the bases.  The outdoors lends itself to a butterfly release or a dove release as part of the events.

I hope these ideas will give you some things to explore.
